Based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and secondarily in Daytona Beach, Florida, pianist Paul Lee is Instructor of Vocal Coaching at the University of Alabama. At UA, he coaches vocalists in diction, comportment and characterization, and interpretation. He is in high demand as a collaborative pianist, accompanying dozens of students every semester in addition to a full slate of professional activities. Additionally, he works closely with University of Alabama Opera Theatre, often serving as musical director for productions.
In addition to his work at UA, Dr. Lee maintains an active recital presence, often with long-time friend Alex Lapins, currently the Associate Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at the University of Tennessee.
